We at Camp CAYA believe in the power of visualization in helping tweens and teen girls become focused in their life goals and objectives. Marcus Garvey Williams III

Marcus Garvey Williams III has been an advocate for education in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas for well over ten years. Having gone to Mansfield University and Manor College, where he was an active member of Phi Beta Lambda (the national business fraternity), Phi Theta Kappa (the national honor society) and Alpha Beta Gamma (the international business fraternity), Marcus realized the misrepresentation of Afro-Americans, especially males in higher education. This unbalance became a passion for him to see others achieve high ideals for themselves. Through his local fraternity chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Marcus started a mentoring program in a predominantly white township seeking the few Afro-American males in the area, and putting them on a track of higher education and more importantly, success. Marcus sits on the provincial committee of mentorship for Kappa Alpha Psi specializing in the development and implementation of high school and collegiate mentoring. He is also the co-chairman of mentorship in his local chapter of Chester, Pa.

Since being in the development of T.E.A.C.H-K.I.D.S (a mentoring program which is structured to speak directly to youth on matters of education and life skills to compete in the 21st century and beyond), Marcus has presented at numerous mentoring and educational events including: The Black Male Development Symposium, The National Fatherhood Festival, Stepping Into Manhood, The Center for Male Engagement, The Greater Hartford Male Youth Leadership Program, and The National Conference of Higher Education.
